The rape reporting law, which requires all VA medical centers to have a rape crisis center staffed by at least one nurse, requires the VA to submit rape reports within 60 days of an allegation, unless the VA determines the allegations were unfounded.
The agency has been under fire for its slow response to sexual assaults.
Last month, a Senate report found the VA had not completed any of its mandated rape reporting deadlines.
The Department of Justice filed a civil lawsuit against the VA earlier this year, accusing the VA of violating the law by not reporting rape claims to its rape crisis centers.
